Quick question why are you complaining about UPN? The reason I ask is because you have to put your self in there shoes. After 9-11 happend to us the world took a whole new light to Arab-Americans. Yes they have been disriminated against and have been rediculed in every possable way.
I dont blame UPN for taking Malina off the air. The question you would want to ask your self with out being biase can you honestly alow your 8-12 y/o son to be watching a woman half nekked wrestle or prance around a ring? I know im not gonna let my kids watch wrestling any more then im gonna let him on a computer.
I just dont see why you are ranting about a public station that has more viewers that are young and sinsitive to the type of stuff the WWE has on its programs.

It's not up to UPN to monitor what your children watch, it's the parents job. Melina is part of the more adult themed WWE, that's been very well demonstrated with the extreme violence in some of their main events. Also, it's a double standard on UPN's part to dedicate an entire series to a super model reality show, where the women are constantly half naked, only to turn around and jump on the WWE for having some of its women run around with their butts hanging out.
As for the Hassan ordeal, that was just a mishandling of character on the part of the WWE; Hassan should never have been a heel, and it was a bad idea to have him "sacrifice" Davairi and then have a group of masked men come out on his behalf. Of course some people were going to view Hassan as being the leader of a group of Arab extremists, and that the WWE was misrepresent the Arab community through their portrayal of the Hassan character. The mishandlement of Hassan only proves that the WWE is incapable of making good decisions when it comes to the sensitive nature of race, creed and religion.
When Magnus returns, hopefully he'll return to the push he was getting with the Hassan character, but odds are that won't be the case.

I heard somewhere that UPN was going to move SD to Friday Night? Of course I doubt it would help any. I actually stopped watching it awhile ago. I don't see anything that could get me interested in SD again. Seriously, they put some great ECW wrestlers on a f'n riding lawnmower!

Ya , it starts showing on fridays beginning either September 9th or 23rd. UPN says one thing and SD magazine says another. I don't think this will be the end of SD after the move. Thursday are a tough night becuase of the other shows but Friday will be even worse.

Friday is a horrible slot for SmackDown! Thursday was workable, more so now than before as you no longer have the "powerhouse" that was Friends running up against it. Aside from the occassional Apprentice and Survivor reality shows, you only have CSI and, I think, Without a Trace to contend with, but other than those there was really nothing that stood out as a show that was considered "must watch."
Oh well, if anything, WWE might just pull the show out of UPN and move it to a better station, so that way, it can get some more appropriate air-time, and not have to worry about being constrained to just the 2 hours.
