wow, that was fun. i decided to say screw the prerelease card and played in a draft instead. because i'm sorry, a starter and 2 boosters and a special foil is not worth 30$. but 3 boosters, and if you go beyond the 1st round at least getting 2 more, is worth the 15 i put in. it was awesome, this set has made me want to play Magic again. anyone else here go to the Ravnica pre-release?

i stopped playing magic along time ago was not fun anymore when people developed combos to kill ya first turn what the hell fun is that and to many damn sets comeing out

well i havent seen any first turn kill combo cards with this new set and the past 6 sets. in fact this set is more Mana heavy, it has higher costs. it is trying to make the game last longer. so you might think about checking out the set. the full spoiler is up on both:

yeah, i quit really playing at Invasion. then i saw a little of Mirroden, and liked what i saw, then i checked out Ravnica and busted a nut, the Guild Mana is amazing. its really fun to play again.

yeah, with this set and the Kamigawa sets i dont mind Type II anymore. i think its because the Ravnica set is awesome, and the Kamigawa sets are all Jap Mythology based, so that is pretty awesome too.
now i just hope they do a Greek theme'd block at some point.

I have to Check this out since Rimmer said the game is now Longer...I will keep you guys updated... well T2 is longer, but T.X and T.1 are still as fast as ever, because the card to be so are still there. but Reanimation decks have gone out due to the restriction of Entomb. |

Conclave has been my guild of choice. but Golgari comes in kinda close. Tokens of Death!

Golgari is token making heaven, i myself prefer Boros, with low casters with first/double strike and some with vigilance. Plus they have the trumpeter.

Am I the only boros fan here? Come on, drop the red/white hondens, use the red/white cards, and you got a little bit of everything. They seem to shore up each others weaknesses quite well.

Boros is very nice, but i am not a huge Red player. some Radiance is pretty cool, but in general i dont like the ability all that much. my favorite Radiant card is Leave no Trace, the enchantment destroyer.
but the {R/W} goblin first striker is awesome. Tundra Wolves are even better.

Green and Black in one guild? This might actually get me back into the game. every color combo has a guild, just the only ones that have cards are Boros (R/W), Dimir (U/B), Golgari (G/B) and Selenya Conclave (G/W). next set is when 3 more come and then the final 3 in the third of the block. |
