I am not sure if anyone has heard the new tribute stuff. But let me say that the songs that they copied from the beatles stuff is not good. I am the biggest metallica fan I know. They do show signs of improvement though, as St.Anger was a major disappointment to many fans. They will release a few other songs, one of which I heard last night. Let's just say it sounds like Master of Puppets

The song Sgt.Peppers is re-done and called Sgt. Hetfield. The guitar is how metallica sounds. Loud riffs, and licks

Well in general, it's just good to see metallica be musicaly active. But the beatles was a totally diffirent type of rock. And if metallica did play the way the beatles played it would still sound bad. I think they should stick to hard metal and fast guitar riffs.

agreed, Metallica is really good at what they do, and that is Metal. doing something else wouldnt really fit, because they would Metalize it, which can work sometimes, but the BEATLES?! i dont think this will work at all.

Yeah, the beatles were a light rock sound. METALlica is a Metal sound. The 2 do not mix well

Doing a cover album of Beattles songs sounds like a pretty random choice for Metallica. Completely different style of music, and even if the Metallica guys appreciate and respect the Beattles, I don't think they should try to remake them. I have to agree with what was said before St. Anger was pretty not so good, and from the way this sounds it's about the same ... when are we gonna get something cool from Metallica again?

I'm a big fan of both groups. However, this seems like it won't work out well. It'll possibly ruin Metallica and probably ruin the Beatles' legacy.
However, recalling Spineshank's "While My Cuitar Gently Weaps", you never know what can happen.

Well I heard 3 of the new beatles songs or Sirius radio today. All I can say is ur gonna spew, it's so horrible. ST.Anger looks like a good CD in comparison to their new stuff. Finally another Spineshank fan emerges.

ok, maybe i wont give it a try. and hey, i like St Anger. i thought it was awesome, not compairable, but awesome. you cant expect a band to stay the same forever, it was just kind of diffrent sounding. its like alot of Juggalos jumping ship after Bizzar/Bizaar, just because ICP tried something new doenst mean its bad.
also at least Psychopathic artists only cover things they know they sound good doing: examples: Twiztid doing People are Strange and Joker. trust me these sound awesome.
