What is the point of the rant forum or these Forums in general if you are not allowed to voice your thoughts and ideas in a reasonable manner?

While it may have been started in a crude manner, there was a Rant Thread posted here that has suddenly been deleted . . . . again . . . like alot of the other threads and posts around here (usually involving the one named in the Rant). Are we allowed to have a differing of opinion that isn't going to be deleted?

I mean there were honest to goodness gripes and grievances posted in that Rant. While the Rant was inevitably locked, it was locked as the crux of the issue was settled. It was locked to prevent it from being re-hashed anymore than it already was. That's fine and understandable. The thread had run it's course and no longer needed to be open for people to post in. But if it was locked, why delete it? I know the limited bandwidth excuse is a joke, so why remove the thread from the public record? Keeping it locked but still viewable allowed it to be a reference point for other people. It allowed it to be a place where one could read the reasoning why attitudes were the way they were regarding members of this site. It was a record of the actions of certain users. Was there some flaming in the thread? Hell yes there was; with most coming from one side of the discussion. Yet it is nothing compared to other threads that have remained not only on this site, but unlocked and able to be posted in. Why delete this thread? Why delete any of the threads that have slowly been deleted?

Why is it that when someone on this site voices their displeasure regarding a situation on this site or their displeasure regarding a user's negative and destructive actions on this site, no matter how intelligent and non-flaming that opinion is, it gets deleted with no word or explanation why? This isn't the first time this has happened. It happens almost regularly. Heck there is another thread in this very Rant Forum regarding other "magically disappearing threads." The only reason I didn't just post in that one is clearly that one did nothing regarding the ever-escalating deletion of threads.

I've read the various rants and ravings regarding that other site TCO and how people are treated there. I've read that this site was largely an alternative place to go so people wouldn't have to put up with the crap that happens over there. So why is this site, which showed so much promise as being a true alternative, slowly but surely turning into nothing but a knock-off TCO clone?

i think its turning into TCO cuz they keep banning people, such as my friends bbq and thebigticket(BBQ said he did postwhore a lot and curse at people so i can see why he got banned). thebigticket seemed to do nothing but just trade on these boards, and post here or there. i just finished speaking to him and was told that he supposedly got banned for PMing some guy called buttspawn and cursing at him in it. he also said that the admins told them to not fight by posting, but to take it somewhere else like PM/AIM. snyder did just that and he got banned. i don't get it, can someone help me out?

Everytime he posted he flamed someone some how. For you to say this is turning into TCO is an honor. TCO has been around five years and they are still the leader in Raw Deal discusion so if we are up there with them that is a great honor.

Your friends where nothing but postwhoring, problem causing, trouble making punks. They are lucky they where on this site for as long as they where.

Freak, fill free to voice your opinion. I could not tell you why the thread was deleted. But I really don't see the point of it being on the forums. Most of it was flaming and it just makes the site look tacky. That would be why the people who got banned where banned because they made the site look bad.

More often than not, said thoughts and opinions are NOT voiced in a reasonable manner, and end becoming a flame-fest (As we've seen the past few days) and the threads become locked and deleted.

Locked threads will sometimes stay around if they are helpful to the community, such as providing a good point of argument, or answering a rulings question. If the topic gets severely out of hand, that is grounds for a lock and possibly deletion. For someone that acts so high and mighty, Freak, i would expect you to see such an obvious point. Also, since you refer to "The rant", why not post exactly what kind of rant it was, and refresh our memory?

This site is in no way becoming a clone of TCO. The similarities are far and few between. If SB was anything like TCO, then me and some other users would have more than likely have been banned months ago, and you would probably have recieved a couple warnrings yourself, Freak.

Indeed, as you stated, this site IS a place to where you don't have to put up with the same crap over there. You don't have Antigoth and TCO running around acting like their hot-shit, or Psycho for that matter. The Staff here is actually helpful, and they don't give you smart-ass, douchebag-like responses when you ask a question or need help.

The Question: Ticket was banned for his disgressions on the boards. He was told to take his concerns with me to a place OTHER THAN THE BOARDS. The PM system is part of the boards, so the same rules apply there as posting. He could have taken it to AIM, but i blocked him. So, anyone could have clearly seen that would mean there is no place for his actions, even a 14-year old.

Also, that wasn't why he was banned, even though it may have weighed in slightly on the decision. Constant flaming and post-whoring even when being warned MANY times, now, that may have been grounds for his banning.

Deleted? Not fine. Why?
This thread in question had much flaming going back and forth. You yourself Butt Spawn contributed heavily to it. That is reason enough to lock it. I understand. But why delete it? Agent Show said it was filled with flaming. Okay. So that's the new reasoning? When will these threads HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE get axed too?

All of those threads listed are locked threads that don't add anything to the site. Some of them have flaming in them. Some of them are simply moved threads. Yet they are all still here on this site. If the time could be taken to delete that Rant Thread, why haven't all of these been deleted as well?

Now I cannot be held responsable for the actions of others. As I stated before the one Rant thread in question did have flaming take place within it. However there was also non-tacky honest grievances posted for all to see. Even you, Agent Show, came on there and applauded the clear and calm airing of said grievances. Are you now saying that wasn't the case? Does all anyone have to do to get a thread they don't like deleted is to start flaming others in it? I mean that would explain why half of the threads where people complained about Butt Spawn were deleted as he would come in and flame the people making fun of him (which to be honest were flaming him as well). I guess he figured out how the system works.

No they don't. The staff here have been incredibly kind and helpfull on almost every aspect of this site, except one. Constantly deleting threads that are somehow disagree-able with them. I'm only asking; I'm only ranting on the why.

Freak, you make very good points but like I said I did not delete that post so I could not say why it was deleted. You should PM Raw Maniac I think he would have been the one that deleted it.

About those "Here" posts that where locked a lot of those where out dated and really have no meaning to them.


I will lay out the bottom line for you guys and this is the final word and nothing is going to change.

BigTicket along with BBQ caused more problems on this site. When ButtSpawn was a moderator they would flame him all the time, even when he had the powers to tell people what to do. They would IM him and PM him to harass him. I mean on a day to day basis. They created new AIM accounts just to harass him. No one should have to deal with that. About 99.99% of the time BigTicket started the flaming that happened. ButtSpawn would voice his opinion and would be called a douche bag, or a fag or what ever was said at that time. Then all of MCG would join in (Well, mainly BBQ) and we would have 9 posts that said nothing much more then "ButtSpawn is a fag" "ButtSpawn sucks Dick" There was a point where I spent 45 minutes just cleaning up garbage like that. It just got old

My job is to make what I think are the right choices. Getting rid of most of MCG is what I thought was the best for the site and that's mine and the staffs choice.


Now Freak I think you are a very intelligent person you are asking questions you feel to be needed and your doing them polite with respect. If you where big ticket you would be saying "Agent Show your a fagot and don't know how to run a site and you should go to TCO" See I don't mind facing the heat against someone who is willing to see both sides.

First.. I agree with Freak. Not so much about the deleting, although that is a little bit trippy for lack of a good term. I came here for something different from TCO. It's not that I dislike TCO, it's just that.. it's basically like no one can really speak truly without it being against the rules. Like I can't say fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck, or write a 1 sentence post if that's all I feel the need for. Or i couldn't flame Norv turner (when he was a raiders coach) for being a flipping douche bag. All that talent.. wasted.

Anyway, moving on.. I know wwcd? online (too lazy to bring up a link) would allow flaming probably.. and for you to say your piece. However, it's lacking a user base and it has BBQ (that is, if you have a problem with him. I personally do not.)

You guys have to admit though this site is far from TCO. Rules wise. We have let you guys get away with a lot more stuff then needed we even helped out the people that where ruining this site when they needed it. This staff has put together a site in three months and its one of the biggest forum pages out there. We are far from strickt but we care enough about this site, and its users to get rid of the people that are trying to ruin it. We don't want this to be a jail we want it to be a user friendly site.
