Hey everyone, I'm new to the board. I've been playing Raw Deal for a few months so I'm still a bit of a noob.
Anyway, I'm working on a Chris Benoit First to Tap Out Match deck. Obviously it's mostly submission heavy, with a few And the Crowd Roars and Commissioner Rules cards to make sure my submissions are successful.
One of my main problems with deck construction is figuring out how much of my deck should be comprised of F:0 maneuvers and reversals. I know there's no set rule to figure it out but it seems that when I play, getting fortitude is hit or miss. Either I get alot of moves off and I'll end up with a good amount of fortitude within one or two turns or I can't get a move off to save my life and end up with no more than 2 fortitude for the entire game.
I've been looking at the decks that all the tournament winners use and it boggled my mind to see that almost everyone uses A Revolution of the Mind instead of Escape Move and Step Aside. Whenever I made a deck, it just seemed like a given that you would put in 3 Escape Moves, 3 Step Asides and than either 3 Reach for the Ropes or Break the Holds. If your opponent's deck has a variety of move types, it would seem to me that once you used up two or three of your Revolutions, you would be in trouble.
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, i've been playing for about a year. I've never ever packed a Revolution, as some cards even state they can't be reversed by it, i always pack and 3 escapes, 2 steps, 2 elbow to the face and 3 reach, in every deck i make. It’s a rule of thumb. I also have the problem of Fortitude I’m almost sure there is many ways round it. However I know non. lol what you really want is a card that lets you search your arsnal for one card, then you can get bneoit's german suplex and then play thaty first, people probably wont be expecting it in my opinion

Hey, I've been having some luck using Fans Love An Underdog for early fortitude. I make sure to reverse anything my opponent does his first turn, even if it means I have to use my For Real, just to stop him from getting any fortitude. Then I use FLAU to draw a card and add +8F to the reversal to my next card, then I'll hit him with the biggest damage maneuver I've got, preferably Benoit's German Suplex.
I'm torn on whether or not to pack the Crippler Crossface though. It's so high fortitude but reversing any Strike or Grapple for 20D is almost too tempting to pass up.

Honestly, to get off the ground with Benoit, I cannot recommend anything better than the Revolution 0F / 6D maneuvers. Your ability, coupled with A Victim of the Crippler, will give them a damage bonus to which cannot be removed by Restricted Use in This Area. Unless your opponent is packing Revolution hybrid Cores, BASH reversals, or is a Legend or a Superstar with a Mid-match reversal at 0F, you don't even need Fans Love to make your moves hit. That seems like a lot of qualifiers, but you'd be surprised how many decks don't fit into that schema. I'd definitely pack the Crossface, it hits for a big chunk of Damage and your opponent can't reduce it, since it now has the Restricted Modification Symbol.

i have always had lick going straight submission with him but revo is fun to play i haven't experimented with it with older superstars. Also why the hell did they put a rms i on the crippler crossface to me makes no sense?
