So I demoed this game during gencon socal last year. It was pretty fun and JSD and RawManiac liked it, so for Anthonys B-Day I bought him an Avatar(nickelodeon anime style cartoon) starter and a couple of packs. First off the starter box is really nice. It has a holder for 2 decks. Also the decks that come with it are randomized so you can buy 2 and have it be completely different. Anyway, we played a couple of games and it was pretty cool. Easy to learn but seems difficult enough to find a balance between offense and defense. So my brother now wants a couple of cards for his b-day.
I would definitely recommend this game. It's made by upperdeck so its got some money behind it and hopefully means nice prize support; and if not its definitely a good side game to raw. Oh and if Avatar doesn't float your boat, they also have a second game using the quickstrike system for Pirates of the Caribbean.

I picked up a Pirates starter today ... good times. I don't really want to get to hardcore into another game, but it is really fun as just a time killer and inbetween kinda game.
And yeah the starter box looks really sweet, not to mention the innovative chamber cards. I guess I'll try and buy a couple packs just to keep it interesting.

Yeah it is def a fun game. Also, you can't get cheesy like Raw Deal so everyone has a equal chance.
Its all about Xiolin Showdown!

Showdown is alright, but I enjoy quickstrike more because of the back and forth action that happens all the time. Stupid starters, it's just so hard to charge all of your zones witht the limited cards in your starter but oh well.
