Well me and fmy friend decided to show up to the PPV event they were having since our store wasn't having a tournament. Took us about an hour and 10 minutes to get there but it was all good. We see a bunch of familiar faces. We have 10 people, top 4. Prizes are the new tourney kit.
Superstars:[/u]
Shelton Benjamin
Your Freakin' Hero
Jake "The Snake"
Carlito
Matt Hardy
Extreme Diva
The People's Champ
Don't Remember
Don't Remember
The Home Team[/i]
I decided to go with Home Team since Afterburn is my least favorite format and they are the only deck I know can actually win a few matches.
Round 1 - Home Team Vs. Jake[/i]
I drop Houston and I get a red card on one, stupid luck. Well this game went by pretty fast, I dumped his hand with Face the Music, busted through Jimmy, and then just smashed until I hit Victory Roll
Result: Pin Win 1 - 0
Round 2 - Home Team Vs. People's Champ[/i]
Well I drop Houston along side Old School Psych to drop the cards he got off of Houston. Again I just killed his hand, busted through with chains, than hit Victory Roll. Brahma Bull didn't really hurt after I go to 13f.
Result: Pin Win 2 - 0
Round 3 - Home Team Vs. Carlito[/i]
Well I knew this was going to be a tough match seeing its Carlito. Cool thing was he wasn't chain like all the other Carlito decks, he was Technical. So I got to minus his pre-match by 2 saving me from 2 Interests. Game was fast at the beginning, with me hitting a few chain maneuvers off the bat because of his low handsize. Then he started getting techy on me by hitting DLB's into Technical Stomps for which I had nothing but Revolutions in my hand. So he got fortitude and I got fortitude. The end was pretty much me stalling because he had too big of a hand to do anything. I kept rocking Sloppy's from my ring area to my ringside pile with Break It Out and rocking it back into my hand with my ability. So I stalled till' he drew himself out and I took the count out. End game he had about 20 cards in hand. No way I'm trying to plow through that.
Result: Count-Out Win 3 - 0
Round 4 - Home Team Vs. Matt Hardy[/i]
Well I drop his hand and get a few chain maneuvers through. I drew a pretty good hand. He gets a few scoop slams through being the only maneuver he could since its chain and my handsize was getting low because of my chain effect. So I pretty much smash and hit Victory Roll at the end.
Result: Pin Win 4 - 0[/i]
Top 4:[/u]
Home Team Vs. Matt Hardy
Jake "The Snake" Vs. Carlito
Semi-Finals: Home Team Vs. Matt Hardy[/i]
Same Player. Game goes pretty much the same. He does get some more offense this game and actually scared me. But in the end I killed him with my chains and won with Atomic Driver.
Result: Pin Win 5 - 0
Finals: Home Team Vs. Jake "The Snake"[/i]
Same Jake from before. But like the 2nd Matt Hardy match, this time Jake bites me back. He gets a huge offense going until I drop his hand, get rid of everything with x3 Break It Outs, and comeback with a onslaught of chain stuff. End game I chained heat into a Apply Legal Leverage with only 6 cards in his arsenal for the victory.
Result: Pin Win 6 - 0[/i]
Well I leave with $10 Store Credit and a Dynamic Finisher. Very happy with how the deck did today, 6 - 0 is awesome. Had so much fun at the new store and am excited for our next PPV tournament. We watch SummerSlam which was good, way better than the last WWE PPV's. Then we head home, on our 40 minute Drive which only takes about 20 minutes surprisingly. Well Till' Next Time!
