How do you tell the rarity of a card?

Hi! I recently found several 1000's of cards, having never played the game, I was wondering if there are anything that tells you what is a Rare, uncommon, common, etc. card? Other TCG/CCG games have either rarity symbols or other ways to easily tell what is what, but after looking through some of them, I can't discern anything that sets them apart. Any help would be appreciated!

The WWF/WWE logo on the right side halfway down the card is white for common, silver for uncommon, gold for rare. Foils are rare, regardless of the logo color.
