My friend was recently playing with my Tajiri deck and asked could he discard a backlash deck card to use his ability. I had actually never thought about it, but his superstar ability doesn't say "from your hand" and there are no errata or FAQ's about it on the official Raw Deal website. So, I ask -- can you discard cards from your backlash deck to use Tajiri's ability since it doesn't say "from your hand"? The card that he wanted to discard to use the ability of course was Immune to Pain, which when put into your ringside pile goes back into your backlash deck. It didn't sound legit, so I didn't let him on that match. Just thought I'd ask here to double check. Thanks for your time. Here's the Immune to Pain card also: #143/643 Immune to Pain (V2)Mid-match Action When this card is going to your Ringside pile, instead put it into your Backlash deck. When this card is in your Ring area, your opponent's maneuvers are -1D. Throwback Active F: 0 D: 0

Unless a card is specifically talking about discarding from Backlash decks (It's All About the Game, Who's Cooler Than Michelle McCool?, etc.), discard means from the hand. Tajiri can't discard Immune to Pain (T) to his ability, just like Ric Flair cannot (thank God...).
Lock.
