The Rant Begins (LOL):
Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem I have with the Fan Fave and Cheater cards... More to the point, the making of character specific cards with traits. I figured that we would've learned from branding or making Face/Heel Character specifics like the original 'Who In The Blue Hell Are You?', which was later made as Throwback and became neutral. It just seems to take away from the game a little when you can't play all of your cards with any given superstar. It maybe just my opinion, but I think that a superstar should be able to play all of his/her cards regardless of trait or brand; they have their logos on them. And I realize, what's done is done but even a Throwback 'Raw or SmackDown: Pick A Brand' would fix the branding.
ie:
Raw or SmackDown: Pick A Brand
Pre-Match Event or Backstage Area Card
Throwback
Permanent
F: 0
D: 0
The maximum number of Pre-match cards you may have in your Ring area is increased by 1.
When this card is played, choose Raw or SmackDown. Your character specific cards are considered to have that logo on them for the rest of the match.
BUT... if you MUST have them traited, at least have them co-ordinate together. For example, I use this one alot but it's a good one, with Edge... 'The Rated R Superstar'= FF, but the 'Liason with Lita' = Cheater... My question is Why?
Cuz, correct me if I'm wrong, but you would not have a 'Rated R Superstar' if it wasn't for that 'Liason with Lita'. Possibly an oversight in naming the cards, but it still seems silly to me not to be able to play those two cards together, regardless of what they do separately. This is just a little beef I've had about branding and traiting that I want to toss out there and see what others thought, and if I'm completely alone on this? LOL
Another thing that's making me want to 'Come Over The Table' and possibly Kruze Kontrol (Gory Bomb) someone's ass through it, is the new set coming out; Revolution. It'sd disappointing to me to see that the makers of this great game can't come up with anything original for superstars and we're getting "4 ALL-NEW SUPERSTAR DECKS" of Batista, John Cena, Rey Myterio, and (YET ANOTHER!?) Triple H??? wtf do we need another HHH deck for? Has this guys not been shoved down our throats enough over the last ten years in the WWE? I realize that he's, arguably, the franchise of the WWE and probably the greatest heel of all-time, but why a third deck when we really haven't even dipped a toe into the ECW Extremists yet? Where's The Sandman? Sabu? Bob Holly? CM Punk? Kevin Thorn? Tommy Dreamer? Balls Mahoney? Trinity? Or Even Ashley Massaro? Beth Phoenix? London & Kendrick? The Highlanders? Umaga? Or if we're doing the remakes again, why not a new Jeff Hardy, Big Show or new FBI? Or maybe 'The Big Red Monster', 'The Rated R Superstar', 'The Rabid Wolverine', 'The Legend Killer' or 'The Naure Boy'? Woooooo! Cuz lord knows all those guys are in 'desperate need' of a second or third deck! I won't list them all, but I think you're seeing my point here. It just seems a little insulting to me, as a player, that we're not getting too many new superstars recently, just rehashes of old superstars with new abilities that are being wasted, instead of using the new abilities on new superstars! Now, I'm not saying I'm not going to go out and buy 'The King of Kings' when it comes out or any of the other ones... I probably will since I'm playing The Game, Cena, Batista and collect Mysterio right now, but that's what this is designed to do... cuz forgive me but, it seems like a complete cash grab without any real thought put behind it! And it's just kind of crappy that we're getting an enitrely new set of starter decks that really don't need to be made yet. Batista only came out a couple of sets ago; hardly needing an upgrade at all at this time. Mysterio and Cena are the only ones that are somewhat justified, but even still, it just seems that new abilities are being wasted on old superstars that could easily be given to fresh new superstars. It's not like the WWE is running short on talent or wrestlers. This is just my opinion and doesn't mean I like the game any less, just something's that were bugging me and wanted to see what y'all thought it too... Thanks...
That's All...
