Well we might actually have a legal tournament today since our 2 friends come over. 8 people, were playing for a tournament kit.
Superstars:
x1 Bobby "The Brain" Heenan
x1 Junkyard Dog
x1 John "Bradshaw" Layfield
x1 Christy Hemme
x1 "Stone" Cold Steve Austin
x1 Tajiri
x1 Leader Of The Edge Army
x1 Leader Of The Peepulation
Well I decide to go with my fun deck Christian Cage! aKa: Leader Of The Peepulation... HeHe
Round 1 - Christian Cage Vs. Christy Hemme
Kinda a bad matchup for Christy since I get out my 3 Shades. I basically beat up on her but being Christy she just shuffles, shuffles, shuffles. Late game she gets to 9 fortitude, which is a very very dangerous number for Christy. So I draw and luckily hit the Unprettier for the pin win. 1 more fortitiude and my hopes were lost.
Result: Pin Win 1 - 0
Round 2 - Christian Cage Vs. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan
Weird matchup. I always despise playing Heenan because of his stupid ability. He screws me over during the prematch phase by Calling you out, Old School, US Belt'ing me and only letting me get Trash Talkin, Tomko, & Frankie Ho. Well I draw an alright hand drawing a Step Aside & Escape Move, and he draws a poop hand. But not having a action reversal hurts. He plays Change in programming lineup and screws everything. He throws a Front chancery and I reverse. I immediately get rid of his Jimmy Hart Manager with my ability. Stuff happens, I get fortitude, he gets fortitude. Then I find out that hes a "Diva" deck, which means he packs all of those diva action cards and that 0f midmatch action which lets him win when he has all of the action cards in the field. Too bad my ability screws him. So I keep recycling my Blindside Control reversal using it then removing it with my ability. I keep hitting my blindside maneuvers, but he keeps flipping reversals. Then finally he has only like 4-5 cards left after I hit a blindside slam and next turn I hit my Blindside Choke for the win. Very long and touch match.
Result: Pin Win 2 - 0
Round 3 - Christian Cage Vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
Well hes a Strike deck. I draw alot of strike reversals and basically beat down on him with Blindside Slams. I then hit the Unprettier for the win.
Result: Pin Win 3 - 0
Well we cut to top 4 with me being top seed.
Top 4:
1. Leader Of The Peepulation
2. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
3. Christy Hemme
4. John "Bradshaw" Layfield
Semi-Finals: Christian Cage Vs. John "Bradshaw" Layfield
I know his deck and its a unique heavy action deck. He also screws me by playing "Raw Or Smackdown: Pick a Brand". I start off by throwing a Iron will, baiting him into my plan. See I have a Elbow and a "This is so totally unfair". Now I could reverse his LT by elbowing him and discarding 6 cards for You think you know me, or I could bait out a Volley this then play "So Totally Unfair" & elbow, saving my 6 cards. So I throw an Iron Will and he throws the Volley This thankfully. I throw a maneuver and he reverses with the Revolution of the Mind he got for The Limo. His turn and he is lucky and has another Lariat Takedown to throw and I have nothing to reverse it with. Stuff happens and he gets alot of fortitude. Late game I don't have much going for me Maneuver wise, since I can't draw anything. Funny thing is I keep drawing blank till' I draw a Gory Special. He throws a Steel Chain Shot and I reverse it with the Gory Special out of nowhere, got a couple of laughs there. Next turn he draws & throws the JBL Clothesline and its lights out for me.
Result: Pin Loss 3 - 1
Oh well, I got pretty far with a fun deck and I'm pretty happy bout' that. JBL goes on to win the whole thing beating Stone Cold. We start choosing what prizes we want and I get 3rd choice. I have the luck of being able to choose a siggie wish noone chose so I take that and i'm happy since its a Joey Mercury and its one I didn't have. Now I have like 13 siggies, YAY!
Well next week is All Axcess and I have a couple of ideas I wanna build. So till' next time, laters!
